Aerforma
A furniture site as considered as the pieces it sells
/ Overview
Aerforma is a concept study — a self-initiated brief for a single-brand furniture label whose customer notices restraint before they notice price. We treated it as a real product: a warm-monochrome material system, motion tuned scene by scene, and a working front-end built to a competition-grade bar.
/ What each case study includes
Brief: A single-brand furniture label that needs restraint to read before price
Process: From material and motion studies to a scroll-timed system
Decisions: A warm-monochrome palette, editorial grid, and scene-by-scene motion
Build: A lean React front-end with its own routing, tuned for a motion-heavy site
Status: Concept / spec work — not a shipped product
/ Challenge
Furniture sites default to one of two modes: a static catalog that undersells the craft, or motion for its own sake that gets in the way of browsing. Aerforma needed interaction quality that could stand up to competition-grade scrutiny — without a single frame that feels gratuitous or a scroll that fights the visitor.
/ Provided Services
Brand identity
Wordmark and a warm-monochrome material system — restrained tones that read as considered, not decorated, across every surface.
Motion design
A single scroll-timed motion language — reveals, parallax, and transitions tuned so nothing on the page moves without a reason.
Front-end development
A hand-tuned front-end with its own lightweight routing — built lean on purpose, without a framework the brief didn't call for.
/ Solution
Scroll drives the pacing throughout. Sections reveal edge to edge, then settle — nothing snaps, nothing waits. Lenis and GSAP work as one system rather than two, so smooth scroll and scroll-triggered reveals never drift out of sync with each other.
/ Tech stack
Vite + React 19
TypeScript throughout and a build tuned for one job: get a small, motion-heavy site out the door fast.
GSAP + Lenis
One scroll engine driving both smooth scroll and scroll-triggered animation, so motion never drifts out of sync with the page.
Tailwind CSS v4
A CSS-first design system — the warm-monochrome palette lives in the stylesheet itself, no separate config layer to keep in sync.
Custom router + Motion
A lightweight router keeps the three-page site fast to move through; Framer Motion handles the transition between them.
